I went to the Sequoia School in Pasadena today. There were some bees in a bucket there somewhere. Well, I finally found the bucket [notice the comb inside], but no bees. I think when they were disturbed, they left.

So as I started to leave, I thought to myself, "Self, maybe they just went to the nearest tree." I had on my super-duper glasses from Vons, but I couldn't see a swarm. So I thought to look for bees flying around, and yup, there they were—about twenty feet away and about 5 feet up.

Yippee. I took them to Willy's house and replaced a trap out box with this new swarm.

Another win for Kirk and bees!
